Somewhere at some point, we’ve all fallen into this concept that in order to make the money you want you have to hustle. You have to work yourself to the bone, throwing in extra hours, and bootstrapping what you can just to make it out alive on the other side.
We’ve all silently agreed to the idea that we have to put on all the hats and exhaust ourselves until we can’t take it anymore.
And then what? We pick ourselves up and do it all over again.
This hustle culture isn’t doing shit for us. It’s running us ragged and tired and for what? A few dollars in the end? I don’t think so. But if you’re still wanting to get paid, what other option is there?
This is where I pull you aside and say, “We are redefining this shit together.”
Stop Climbing Mountains
Humans are funny creatures of habit. Because once something feels a little uncomfortable, they get frustrated, angry, and all of a sudden, there’s so much they need to fix. So what do we, as humans do? We go and find the tools to fix it.
When you’re not getting paid more, you work harder hoping someone will notice the extra effort and gift you a raise. When you don’t get the raise, you start looking for extra things to do in order to be seen “enough” for it. And when you own your own business and you’re looking to rake in more dough, you take the next course, read the next book, or do the next guru 12-step program to make that shit happen.
Go back to the top of this page and remind yourself what happens from there.
That’s right: Exhaustion. Burn out. Fall down. And get back up again.
Rinse and fucking repeat.
The truth is, we’re so hellbent on climbing a mountain to get where we’re going, we don’t even stop to look for the path that cuts straight to the other side.
Look in the Mirror
Shit, you heard me right. Go grab a mirror and give yourself a good look. All the tools you’ve been after to chip away at the climb to the top? They live within you, sis.
It’s not about mastering some program or plugging and playing a specific formula. There isn’t any string of actions you can do that will get you there if you continue to focus on everything outside of yourself.
It’s about mastering yourself from the inside out. It’s about clearing your mind and focusing on what you want at your core, and deciding that you’re going to come at it from every angle, internally.
Look, they say that you can’t love something else until you love yourself. And that’s what we’re doing here.
Instead of telling yourself that you’re not enough, that you have to work your ass to the bone and keep searching for someone else’s answer to apply to your situation… love yourself.
Your mind, your body, your soul. Tell yourself that you are enough, just as you are, as long as you show up authentically.
And yeah, I get it. This shit is hard. Hard enough to make you want to climb Mount Everest instead of telling yourself the truth you never heard. But I promise you’re worth it. And once you do that internal work, all the monies you ever wanted will almost naturally fall into your wallet.
Decide that You’re Worth it
You probably read that paragraph above and thought, “Damn it, I don’t want to do something that hard” because no one really wants to. Pulling yourself together to create big shifts isn’t straightforward or simple. We’re fucking complicated creatures, and wealth manifestation is a complicated thing.
There’s no step-by-step process to follow, and even with a guideline, most people are going to want to say “Hell no. I’m not going to tell myself I’m worthy because I haven’t proven to myself that it’s true.”
Sis, calm down because it is true and you do have proof. Everything up to right now is proof. You’re not starting off at the bottom right now. You have gone up. You have made things happen. You’ve already done some of the work before.
But you are worth so much more than just some. You’re worth it all. Every bit of the dreams you’ve had for yourself. You’re worth doing the harder work, even harder than mountain climbing. Because you’re worth the price the universe is bound to toss back at you.
The New Powerful Definition of Hustle
We’re no longer hustling our bodies to do more than our minds. Fuck that. We’re using both pieces together, and tossing in our souls too.
Because out-working ourselves by doing everything under the sun is literally pulling all our power into one area, not spreading it into every corner that counts.
The internal work is our new hustle. We’re dropping the busy-ness for the sake of being busy and we’re picking up all the tools to create from within.
When you work on the pieces of yourself, you create what you want in the world. And the universe understands that if you’re operating in that kind of energy, it can meet you with the same vibrations.
It’s still making bank. But it’s doing it from the power within.
You in? Sure you are. Grab your mirror and let’s go.
